Wieso soll er es vergessen? So übel ist das Objektiv nicht. Und vor allem die Ranschärfe wird ja oft bemängelt. Aber als Alltagsobjektiv liefert es ein recht gutes Bokeh und zentrale Schärfe. Halt nichts für Landschaften, aber das ist auch nicht gefragt.

The verdict
I think there are two ways to look at this lens: From the perspective of a people/reportage photographer it is a good lens.

About 70-90% of the image is sharp from f/4 and the center is super sharp. Only above 65mm it is necessary to stop down to f/5.6 for really good central sharpness.

The lens covers a super handy focal range, combined with the camera my setup is significantly smaller than a comparable FF DSLR, and OSS is also handy.

Wie Schura schrieb, sollte man doch auch man die reale Anwendung betrachten. Der TO möchte die Kamerawelt kennenlernen. Wieso sollte das nur mit dem Nonplusultra gehen, was wahrscheinlich oft zu Hause bleibt, weil groß und schwer? Das 24-70 F4 wiegt nur 400g statt 650g 24-105 und ist kleiner.

In dieser Absolutheit schlichtweg falsch. Es kommt darauf an, welche Fotos man machen will. Nicht jeder versteht unter Kinderfotos Close-Ups und Halbportraits mit stark verschwommenem Hintergrund. Ein 35er ist optimal, um leicht freizustellen, aber noch die Umgebung mit in das Bild aufzunehmen. Mein meist genutztes Objektiv, wenn ich die Kinder fotografiere.
