Auf Seite 2 der Kommentare zu Carl Garrards Review der A550 erwähnt auch jemad das Phänomen:

When you are using the A550 (or A500 that you still have), do you notice the red glow in the right side of the optical viewfinder every time a focus confirmation square is lit? The transparent overlay (into which the focus confirmation squares seem to be embedded) looks like it's scattering the red light from an LED (or LEDs) out of view to the far right.

I also noticed some tiny lines leading from the right side to each focus confirmation square, and these also glow when a square is lit. Maybe those are tiny light pipes? Anyway, the lines don't bother me, but I find the red glow very distracting, especially in lower light conditions. I am wondering if the light scattering is a side effect of a totally new design for the overlay and focus markers?

Seems like something that Sony could address in mid-production (I know they revise assemblies all the time). However only if users found it annoying enough. Do you?
