Die IDC Suite kommt jetzt auch mit Remote Control per PC und IntervalTimer daher. Klingt ganz interessant.

* Firmware Update
This utility updates the DSLR-A700 Camera Firmware to version 4 and provides the following benefits:

Benefits over firmware version 3:
o Adds a "2 steps/3 shots" option to the "Bracket: Single" and "Bracket: Cont." Drive mode settings for auto exposure bracketing.
o Adds an "Off" option to the "High ISO NR" (Noise Reduction) setting.
o Provides improvements in picture quality when using a high ISO setting; color noise is minimized in images captured using an ISO setting of 1600 or higher.
o Provides improvements to the Auto White Balance (WB), especially when taking pictures using the flash.
o Improves performance of the D-range Optimizer (DRO). The ability to discriminate between scenes has been improved, and the scope to which the advanced DRO effect can be applied has been broadened.
o Improves the ability to make a successful connection with the VG-C70AM vertical grip.

Additional benefits over earlier firmware versions:
o Resolves an issue where the Access Lamp remains lit and the camera stops responding when several pictures are taken in rapid succession.
o Resolves an issue where powering the camera off while in "MR" mode may cause some registered settings to carry over to other shooting modes.
o Sharper images for pictures taken under low contrast conditions
o Reduced noise for pictures taken at ISO 3200
o Improved flash control for objects closer than 1 meter with non ADI controlled lenses

* Image Data Converter SR & Image Data Lightbox SR Updates

This utility updates the supplied Image Data Converter SR software to version 3.0 and the Image Data Lightbox SR software to version 2.0 and provides the following benefits:

o Improves general operability
o Improves display speed
o Adds a peripheral illumination compensation function
o Adds an improved D-range optimizer

Additonal issues corrected over some earlier versions of Image Data Converter SR software
o Image distortion may occur when the "Highlight Color Distortion Reduction" feature is set to "Advanced".
o Non-compressed RAW files may be indicated incorrectly as compressed RAW files in the image properties.
o There may be color differences between the camera and the software when the "Creative Style" setting is other than the default setting.
o Parts of an image may be displayed with a mosaic "ghost" when viewed.

So. Ich freu mich ja schon etwas länger über die FW4.
Ein einziges kleines 'Manko' bietet allerdings noch Potential für eine etwaige FW5:
Die automatische Verwendung von ISO800 beim Blitzen und ISOAuto. Das Runterregulieren auf ISO200 ist leider häufig dann noch mal ein Griff mehr als nötig...
Ich dachte eigentlich, das wäre noch eine relativ leicht änderbare Funktion, die per Update zu beheben wäre... nicht soo wichtig, aber wenn man schon mal dabei ist...

Ich weiß nicht ob es schon bekannt ist, aber man kann nun das Menü so einstellen, das beim nächsten Menüaufruf automatisch an die letzte geänderte Position gesprungen wird.

Ansonsten muß ich sagen das mich das neue Rauschverhalten und die etwas ausgewogenere Belichtung mich echt begeistern.

Bist Du sicher ? Ich meine das es bei mir nicht funktioniert hat, hab mich nämlich immer über den Rücksprung an die 1. Position geärgert ( FW3 )

Ja, absolut sicher. Die Option gab es bereits in Version 1, der Auslieferungsversion der A700, und wurde auch in den nachfolgenden Versionen zu keinem Zeitpunkt wegrationalisiert.

Siehste, ist Dein Vorteil - ich dagegen nicht, weil ich sofort dieselbe Einstellung wie bei der 7D gesucht und aktiviert hatte

Da gebe ich Dir recht aber bei der D7D heißt es wenigstens "Einstellungen speichern" und nicht "Menü zurück". Aber egal ich freue mich über "meine neue Funktion".
