Die voraussichtlich morgen (02.04.09) offiziell erscheinende Version 4.7 wird neben einigen, vornehmlich Digibacks betreffenden, Neuerungen nun auch die Bearbeitung von JPEG- und TIFF-Format ermöglichen.

Support for jpeg and tiff files as “input” files.
It is now possible to make adjustments to jpeg and tiff files similarly to RAW files. The
same* adjustment tools are available for jpeg/tiffs as for RAW files. For optimal image
quality it is recommended to capture and work with images in RAW format.

Sicher für viele ein Feature das auf der Wunschliste stand, denn wenn man mal keine RAWs gemacht haben sollte und/oder diese Formate von Kunden erhalten hat kann man nun dennoch in "gewohnter Umgebung" arbeiten.

Das lese ich gerne. Man kann dann nämlich zum "richtigen" Zeitpunkt in NeatImage entrauschen, und dennoch Tonwertkorrekturen und Schärfen in C1 erledigen.

Daß die 4.7 morgen kommt, habe ich mittlerweile auf luminous landscape gefunden. Was, außer der 5DMkII-Unterstützung neu ist, stand da aber nicht drin. Na gut, gedulde ich mich bis morgen und freue mich auf TIF in C1 - und hoffe, daß meine Sandisk-Karten-Lizenz auch dafür noch gilt.

Wie ich schon sagte. Hauptsächlich Digiback Geschichten:

This new release of Capture One comes in three versions: 4.7, 4.7 PRO and 4.7 DB.
Capture One 4.7 is a free service release to existing Capture One 4.x owners.
Existing customers with Capture One 3.x can upgrade to a similar version of Capture One 4.7 at no
extra cost.

Capture One 4.7 includes:

- Introduction of new Enhanced Image Package file format (with .eip file extension).
With the new file format you can combine images and their settings into one file. This
will simplify image archiving and management and make it easier to share adjusted
RAW files (e.g. with retouchers or pre-press). With the new file format your images and settings are packaged into one file without compromising the original images and settings. It is always possible to unpack your original images and settings. It is possible
to capture tethered directly to .eip and it is possible to convert existing files into .eip
files. The Enhanced Image Package file format is currently available for Phase One
digital backs only.

- Support for jpeg and tiff files as “input” files.
It is now possible to make adjustments to jpeg and tiff files similarly to RAW files. The
same* adjustment tools are available for jpeg/tiffs as for RAW files. For optimal image
quality it is recommended to capture and work with images in RAW format.

- Improved quality of P 65+ Sensor+ images

Adjusting numeric input field using keyboard arrows keys

- Windows Imaging Component (WIC) codec and Quick Look plug-in (Mac OS) for Phase One digital back files:
The WIC codec and the Quick Look plug-in are imaging components that work on an
operating system level. These additions give you high-quality previews of the original
RAW files at OS level (e.g. in the Finder or Windows Explorer). 3rd party applications
supporting these components will also be able to show the high-quality previews.
Currently Phase One digital back files with .iiq and .eip extensions are supported.

Ist doch schon mal was. Freies Service-Release und JPG- und TIF-Unterstützung.
"Adjusting numeric input fields" mit den Pfeiltasten könnte auch noch ein wenig mehr Komfort bringen.

Vielleicht wird ja auch noch der eine oder andere Bug behoben, obwohl es ja mittlerweile recht stabil läuft.
