I think, there is a big problem with the alpha 700. The noise reduction is far too extreme with jpegs even at low iso levels. There is no need in my opinion for doing so. Image quality is suffering extremely from the over-noise-reduction, also does resolution. Theoretically, it should be possible, that this noise reduction reduces the camera resolution under the resolution of a Dynax 5.

I wish, that there will be an option to switch off the Noise reduction completely. Please update the camera firmware as soon as possible, because that problem is one together with the lack of the grip sensor in europe, which will prevent people from buying this camera. I think about rejecting my order at sony-style.

I believe, that this is an easy bug fix, because lowering the noise reduction should be easier and should cost less processing time than the opposite way.

Please, please update your firmware as soon as possible!
