"Dear Sir, dear Madam,
while Sigma does offer the 300 mm F2.8 lens without
HSM for Minolta-mounts and e.g. the 100-300 F4.0 as well,
the excellent telezoom - lens 120-300 F2.8 comes without an option for
Minolta-mounts. I was quite disappointed that, owning a Minolta D7-Maxxum, I am excluded from the use of this lens in contrast to canon-nikon-owners.
I feel lots of Minolta-users would be happy to buy this top-ranking
lens if there was one on offer.
Are there any plans at Sigma to complement their gamut
of canon-nikon-sigma - mounts with a minolta-mount for this lens ?
If not, is this because marketing does not see a demand high enough to launch such a model or would it be technically difficult to design the change without HSM ?
Yours sincerely"
Die Antwort:
"Thank you for your e-mail.
We will expand our HSM lens series in the very future but we do not have an immediate plan on making these lenses in Minolta mount yet.
We appreciate your feedback, support and interest in our products. We will forward your comment to our headquarters for their future reference.
Thank you again."
