Guten Morgen zsamme,
jolini hat ja schon einen guten Teil aus Garys Mail aus der Nacht schon gepostet und da ich seit langer Zeit mal wieder vir um 1Uhr im Bett war, habe ich es erst heute früh gelesen.
Ja, etwas ernüchternd was Gary schreibt. Er bezieht sich dabei aber immer nur auf die A7RIV, die er schon auf die neue Firmeware für den LA-EA5 geupdated hat oder habe ich etwas überlesen.
Er scheint andere Kameras gar nicht noch einmal getestet zu haben. John, der Entwlicker schreibt, dass er allen, die nicht vorhaben, den LA-EA5 ebenfalls zu benutzen, ersteinmal auf das Update zu verzichten. Er vermutet es wird ähnliche Probleme mit der A6600 geben im Zusammenhang mit deren letzten Update für den LA-EA5.
Die Lösung dieses Problems steht für die Firmware 03 auf dem Plan.
Fakt ist, wie Gary schreibt, dass die Möglichkeiten des Monsteradapters an den älteren Kameras immer noch die selbe ist. Wie es sich da mit den neu implementierten Objektiven verhält, erfahren wir leider aus Garys Mail nicht.
Ich werde diesbezüglich mal nachfragen.

Hi, all.*
It’s been awhile since you’ve heard from me regarding the Monster adapter.* In deference to your time, I’ll make this short.
After 2 tries I was able to load Firmware v0.2.* The first lens I tried it on was the Minolta 50mm f/2.8 Macro lens.* It worked like it did with all the other lenses – slow, a little jerky, but accurate.* It’s useful when the focus is almost there, and takes forever to get there otherwise.
Then I tried the Minolta 80-200 f/2.8 G (the white version), and this is where things fell apart.* It hunted around the focus point but never got there.* Then my A7R IV crashed and it took 3 battery removals to regain control of it.* I sent the video of this behavior to China, and was informed his didn’t work that way, but he has been hearing from other users about this very problem.* He’ll have a fix in a couple of days.* That was last week.
I have to tell you that since the introduction of the LA-EA5 (which I have on order) my enthusiasm for this project has waned considerably.* I said I won’t be attaching my name to it unless it’s “Ready for Prime Time” and that may take months, if ever.* I’ve said in the past how I don’t approve of testing software using early-adopting customers.* I will tell you that when my LA-EA5 arrives I’ll be making a video doing a side-by-side comparison.* If people will be buying the Monster Adapter, it’s important to set expectations properly.*
If you’re looking for something faster than the LA-EA4, this won’t be it.* But it may be your best choice if you don’t want to invest in an A7R IV or A6600.* As of today I will not be taking on this project.* If you want to buy one now you can get it here:
