Auf SAR hat ein Leser der Japanisch und Englisch beherrscht das Interview übersetzt. Hier die wichtige Passage betreffend der Zukunft von E- und A-Mount:

"Question: You put a full sized sensor in the mirrorless A7 series cameras. Now you need to fill out the lineup of 35mm fullsize compatible FE lenses, but does this mean that when it comes to exchangeable lens cameras your primary focus will be shifting to the E mount?

Answer: First, we will not drop the A mount. As we told you when we announced the A7, we are currently developing new A mount products and hope you are looking forward to their release. The E mount allows for more compactness, but each line has unique characteristics.

Question: In light of SLR market share figures by maker, and the growth of the mirrorless market in Japan and E. Asia, and considering that Sony is currently shipping more E mount (including FE) than A mount cameras; doesn’t continuing both lines place a large burden on Sony?

Answer: Sure, our mirrorless sales were larger. But you have to consider that we released a lot more mirrorless bodies this year than A mount bodies. New product purchasing cycles come in waves but that doesn’t mean one line or the other is more important to Sony. And we also attempt to respond to the differing market needs in different geographical regions.
There are many types of customers. There’s never been a premium mirrorless camera like the A7 until now, so this is probably the birth of a new category. On the other hand, as stated earlier, sales of conventional SLRs is dropping. Does that mean SLRs are no good? Well, it’s clear that SLRs with high hobbyist appeal are still holding their own. So then what does Sony need to do to design a camera that has a uniquely Sony hobbyist appeal and that will deliver a moving experience to the user?
There are certain types of value that only an SLR can achieve so we continue to attempt new things with both lines."

Das ist ein klares Statement für die Beibehaltung beider Linien. Was jetzt noch fehlt ist der Beleg durch neue A-Mount-Produkte. Es bleibt spannend.

Irgendwie ist das ein Thread der sich im Kreis dreht.
Niemand weiß wo die Reise wirklich hingehen wird. Und dennoch reden alle davon.
Und mal wieder mehr werde ich in meinem tun bestätigt hier so gut wie nie rein zu schauen!

Lieber gehe ich mit meiner tollen Sony Ausrüstung raus und freue mich über die tollen Bilder die ich damit machen kann. :cool: Da hab ich deutlich mehr davon! ;)

Super Entschluß!!! Und ich werde weiter mein Geld mit dem Sony-System verdienen - ganz ohne schlechte Gefühle dabei.

Der Thread hier heisst "Zukunftsaussichten - Sony Alpha System" und inzwischen sind alle Sony-Kameras mit Wechselobjektiven "Alphas", aber nach meinem Verständnis ging es hier um die Zukunft des A-Mount. Aber du darfst dich gerne auch über eine neue E-Mount-Kamera freuen.

Ich habe so einiges an Equipment diesen Monat verkauft und dabei auch so einiges an A-Mount Glass.

Ich muss ganz klar herausstellen, dass alle Käufer höchstens um die 30 waren und alle eine A99 besaßen.

Von wegen alte Männer - so einen Quatsch hier dauernd zu hören geht mir furchtbar auf den Keks!
